Install steptronic Shift Knob??

Ok I think my dealer robbed me on this!! i got a aluminum trim shift handle like in the first pic in my dark burl walnut trim interior...So rovers price beats the dealers but im wondering how hard it is to install?? any ideas??
heres the pic of the new one!

YEs exactly diesel thanks for answering my question....so i guess the dealer didnt rob me...But i couldve sworn the one I test drove had a wood selector,,Oh well..I ordered it along with strut bar from circle bmw thanks to hunter!
They got good prices for sure! The strut bar is 225 ebay its 235 at least

You may have test driven a car that the dealer ordered with that option so they could charge extra.

ahh I see,,yea I was a picky one at the dealer I drove one car and put 30miles on it and then got out and told him I wanted the one next to it! and he said why and i said I like the black better sorry! so that was kinda funny...

alright I should be getting the part tommorrow...does anyone kknow how or if I have to take the boot off to??
So if I just pull it up the boot wont rip??

WEll U put the car in N and pull the lever up and yank the whole thing up and whalla there it is in your hand...
Installation...Reverse step 1 slam that shit back in!
