Changed both rear ABS sensors, now im unable to clear the errors
Hi, my car got some issues with abs sensors recently out of nowhere both rear failed. I have now replaced both and instead of getting the missing speed signal while driving i now have the errors at all times and neither protool or BimmerLink are able to clear the errors which they were used to prior to replacing the sensors.. any guesses from you guys? Or should i just leave it to the dealer

https://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-E91-32...h/34526870076/ https://www.fcpeuro.com/Parts/?keywords=34526870076 Have you checked the wiring/ connectors? Have you examined the ends of the original Sensors for abrasion? Does your Live Data show rotation/ speed for FRONT sensors? Have you checked part#? X-drive part# & RWD part# DIFFER. RealOEM.com says 34526870076 is YOUR Part# for 325i. If you don't have ISTA or other wiring info to use for test purposes, please provide your Last-7 Characters of VIN. George |

I was very careful with the installation and even measured the new contacts to be 100% it fits as original did. I had to replace because it wasnt just a shadow error for me. I could barely drive the care because it would start shaking heavily when the car lost speed signal and caused issues with other stuff like dtc

Yeah it seems uncommon that it would have such effects on the car. I will contact the supplier and see if they have any input as to why im not getting any feedback considering that they claimed the sensors match my car. Therafter i will look for replacement and try Bosch

https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=33_1230 Attached are ISTA ScreenPrints showing wiring. B3 is Rear Right & B4 Rear Left. I would test for continuity between Wheel Speed Sensor & relevant Socket of X18303 at the dsc. Also test for short to Chassis Ground. Please let us know what you find, George |

The factory sensors are ATE--FCP showing OEM simply means Bosch is a company that supplies OEM parts to BMW. Again, the factory sensors are ATE. Bosch probably works just fine too, but there are tons of threads where people used random brands of sensors and immediately got codes until replacing them with factory ones. OP never said which brand he used. Search it up if you don't believe me. |
