(E90 2006) Car electrics go crazy after radio (CCC) removal
Hello guys, I recently bought an 2006 e90 with a dead ccc unit (loop on bmw). The thing is i'm trying to take the radio off to send for repair but as soon as I disconnect the main plug the car goes crazy: wipers and water pump runs non stop; no dash-lights, no turn signals, no remote locking. Did you ever seen anything like this?
If I put the radio back everything works normally except for the radio since its bricked. I'm hopping that I can get a working radio and just switch and everything will run smoothly. Last edited by bruno.henriques.lux; 05-29-2024 at 03:42 AM.. |

Broken MOST bus
The large square black connector that you are removing from the back of the CCC has two fiber optic connections for the MOST bus. When those are open to the air, none of the other devices that communicate on that bus can function, as it is optical and the signal is lost. I am not sure if there is a workaround, as that is a special connector not used anywhere else in the car.

i would not recomend to repair CCC unit, but source from internet or junkyards CIC-MID unit (LCI Navi business)
This will provide to upgraded GUI, open path to bluetooth streaming via combox, no hard disk (which also fails often ) this unit also work fine with your controller so you only need to get headunit, 2008+ headunit dash trim and display with cable. And code it they are quite affordable because people often migrate from CIC business navi to CIC professiona navi
