Additional Sound Deadening?

I've recently fitted an aftermarket exhaust to my E92 N55. Frustratingly it drones between ~1,800 to 2,200 rpm, which is 60mph in sixth gear. A decent proportion of my commute is at this speed.

Has anyone sought to combat this noise and general road noise that intrudes into the cabin through additional sound deadening? I was thinking that trying to cover the boot (trunk) floor and under the rear seats with the adhesive butyl/foil sheets that are available might help? Any feedback would be good!
