I have it and dont regret getting it at all. I used it all weekend and will not get another car without it. I usually go out or have plans every weekend so it helps me if I dont know where I am going. It is really a safety feature when your going somewhere and dont have too look at directions or a map. Depends on your needs though but for me its great.

In my opinion, I think that iDrive / Nav is worth it. Although I don't use Nav that much (most of my driving is around the city in which I've lived all my life) I think iDrive is great. Then again, I've always been a bit of a techie, so maybe I'm biased!
My guess is there's a greater chance that you would regret NOT buying it that you would regret buying it. Good luck!

Even if you use the Navi and are trying to follow a map, just set a destination and start the guidance and a voice will tell you when to turn and when you've arrived - no need to look down. Even then, if you must look at your screen, it's high position on the dash means that the road is still in your peripheral vision.

Navigation is cool and useful sometimes - not that big of a deal.
iDrive is excellent and worth the whole price IMO.

I can honestly say I'm glad I got the SatNavPro- once you've got it, you won't want to be without it. Viv |

I didn't get it, but I thought that even though the interface is different without there would still be the same functionality for non-navi customization (like headlight-on sensitivity, etc).
Having navi helps in resale as well. If you've got the scratch for it, go for it. |

Absolutely get the Navi. Its like a microwave or TIVO. You'll wonder how you ever lived without it. Agreed on the other points of making the dash look better, improved resale, etc. Plus, there are things you can do w/IDrive that are not available w/non-IDrive. Its a no-brainer - regret is more expensive.
