Does check engine light go away eventually on its own?

Hello, so below is my situation and my car is 2011 E90 328i

1. I recently changed my oil level sensor and also heater hose.
2. I forgot to plug in Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor cable by air filter and tried starting the car. During this time, the car would struggle to start. It would "turn on" but it made a lot of bumpy/farting noise like it was struggling (I tried turning on 2 times and left it on 5 seconds each just observing it).
3. I realized about the Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor cable not being connected so i connected them.
4. Afteward, I tried restarting the car and it did runs
5. During the test driving, the check engine light is on and i believe this is due to MAF sensor cable previously (not sure if it came up in the middle of driving).
6. I ran BimmerLink but no error related to Engine. I "Service Reset" and the app says it's reset.
7. I turned on the car and the check engine light comes up again!

Does this light eventually go away? Any help will be great
