e92 Thermostat top hose install

Hi,

Is there a trick to putting the top hose (smaller one that faces front of the car on the thermostat back on? I have the rear hoses on. Doing a water pump/thermostat change. Pulled the clip to the open position on the hose and trying to push the hose onto the thermostat. Doesn't seem to go far as maybe need to push harder? Or is there a certain angle that I should twist thermostat to fit on the tube?

This is for a '08 e92/N54 coupe.

Figured it out. Coolant didn't help, but a little dish soap and spit helped snap it in.
