AC doesn't work after CIC retrofit
Hi everyone I've run into a strange issue that I cannot find any answers to. So my A/C was fully working prior to the CIC retrofit and suddenly I've had it fitted 2 weeks and now had the chance to use the aircon and only to find out it doesn't work anymore... At first I thought it was just low on gas so regassed via the correct R134 machine.. Still no luck.. Everytime you press the A/C button nothing happens, no sounds, no rev drops.. Nothing at all, just the green LED on the button. Does anyone have any ideas what it could potentially be?
May I add I did scan with ISTA and got the following code "009C53 IHKA: Electric auxiliary heater". Thank you in advance. |

Questions: 1) Does the Climate Control Panel 'Light-up' when Ignition ON? When you press "Auto" button? When you press Blower Speed buttons? Which Green LED lights? Compressor "Snowflake"? "Auto" button? 2) Is there ANY blower sound or air delivery from vents when you press "Defrost" button? 3) Since you have ISTA, please use it per the attached pdf, to see various IHKA functions, & report what "Diagnosis Scan" Values are displayed, or attach ScreenPrints. I attach ScreenPrints from my 2007 328xi showing various Normal functions. ISTA Diagnosis Scan Tab: BUTTONS: The "Buttons" Function should show "operated" ONLY while a particular button is pressed. That is an INPUT signal received by the IHKA Module. The button state is "Not operated" Except while it is pressed. FLAP POSITION: Function should show current position of each of the 8 Flap Motors in your IHKA System. The position should Change when commanded by appropriate Button on IHKA Control Panel. STATUS: Screen shows VOLTAGE, Temps & High Side Pressure You can also check INPUTS related to your Electric Auxiliary Heater. ISTA "Triggering Tab: You can test: Functions, Blower, Flap Motors, LED's If you removed the IHKA panel to access the CIC, then X608 may NOT be properly connected/ latched at rear of IHKA Module. See attached. Check Fuse F60. Please let us know what you find, George |
