Can I just replace the cruise control stalk?

So, wifey manages to get a little overzealous with the cruise control stalk on my 330D E92 M Sport LCI and pushes it forward hard enough to break the stalk. Looking around there appears to be a replacement stalk unit with a part number 9169755, but although I can find guides on how to change the entire cluster and add adaptive cruise control, I don't see anything about replacing just the stalk and its base. Hopefully the image is attached. Surely this is a plug and play into the cluster? Appreciate any advice.

Brings back memories that stalk. The E92 is a great car.

Of course, if the stalk keeps on breaking you'll need to replace the wifey.

Yes, I've done it on my car for my ACC retrofit. Getting the ribbon cable aligned again was a bit of a pain but overall the process was not too bad.
