e90 pre and LCI headlight question

Hello,

I saw a video of a guy dissaembling his headlights to repair them and I noticed that the cover plastic part, i am not quite sure what it is called, actually has the silver line that gives the LCI headlighst their more modern look. So I did several google searches and LCI plastic covers appear to be exactly the same as non-lci, which is weird, as you can clearly see here that the line is present on the plastic cover, image attached.

So I was wondering if I can simply find second hand/new plastic covers of LCI and replacae my existing ones, I believe they are the exact same size?
