Broken PCV Valve Cap

Hi all,
This is my first post on here but I’ve been a long time lurker and im looking for some help with my 335i N54. I was replacing the PCV valve with the RB PCV and cap , when trying to remove the cap it immediately cracked off with little torque. I tried using a hammer and chisel to loosen it but in the end I’ve nearly completely stripped the cap flush with the valve cover.

I’m not sure what else I can do without taking of the valve cover but before I do that I wondered if anyone had any ideas on how I can get it off with the little space I have around the cap.

Dang dude you probably mistakenly over tighten it and broke the cap? I just replaced mine and had no issues trying to loosing it. Took obky a half turn. Im sure this happened to someone else and can chime in…

Yeah I think I did, I forgot because the pcv is backwards I had to turn the other way so not only is there nothing to grab, I tightened it with all my force so it isn’t moving at all . I’m going to drill a screw into it and try and turn it out with that.

Hi all, an update on this for anyone who encounters the same issue I managed to get the PCV valve out without removing the valve cover, not the best way to do it but I’m sure it would help someone in the same position as me. I drilled out part of the PCV valve close to the edge to the point where I can see part of the o ring, i pulled the o ring as much as I could by getting a screwdriver behind it and then grabbed it with some needle nose pliers, whilst holding the o ring I cut it so now it can be pulled out with the pliers. This removed all the tension in the PCV valve and I was able to turn it by hand and get it out.
