Bluetooth Connection Problems

Car is a 2006 330i with factory bluetooth (TCU/MULF.) Everything worked great until one day I upgraded my phone software and then I couldn't connect to the car via bluetooth any more. I deleted the phone from the list of paired devices then tried pairing again. The pairing process works until I get to the step of entering the pairing password on the car, then both the car and the phone stop pairing.

Recently I upgraded my CCC to CIC and had the exact same bluetooth pairing problem. I just got a new phone which I was able to successfully pair with the car, however the connection keeps dropping then reconnecting about every 30 seconds. I tried deleting and re-pairing several times, tried reseting the phone, and can't stop this bluetooth dropping cycle.

Is there a way to reset the TCU/MULF with tool32 or any of the other standard tools? I couldn't find anything in INPA.
