N52 Catch can questions and vac
Hello everybody, So I'm going to be installing a catch can on my N52. After installing new disa valves I don't want to incur that cost again and a catch can seems pretty easy.
I have a 2005 E90 330I with the external CCV system and I'm confused as to what I can use to cap off the line that runs to the oil pan, The only other post I have seen is to use a 328i bolt and remove it completely but I don't have any wrecked 328i around me so what else can I do. Here is the diagram from Realoem you can see part 4 connects to the return hose which goes into the oil pan. https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=11_3738 Also On this vac line that runs from the brake booster, there is a T piece that runs into a rotten piece of pipe. I am wondering what this rotten piece of pipe runs as if it something like the exhaust control I won't even bother replacing it and just cap it off See video here https://streamable.com/u6ap79 |

11137553165 If you have a dealer close by, this is the part# for the bolt with o-ring the later cars use to fill the hole on top of the pan where that line runs to. This is what I used in my 06 when I did the 3SIM and oil catch can for the same reason! |
