TIming difference between N47D20C and N47D20A
Hi everyone, I have an E90 318d 100kW 2007 with the N47D20A engine that I needed to take out due to a timing chain failure. The valve collided with the piston, and the damage is too expensive for me to repair, so I bought another engine, the N47D20C. The guy who sold me the new engine (N47D20C) assured me that it will fit with all the other components from my old engine except the oil filter housing, which he gave me with the engine.
So my question is, are there differences in timing this new engine (N47D20C) compared to the old one (N47D20A), and are the tools needed for timing the same? I will try to add images of the old engine block and the new engine. I will also add pictures of the tools that I have at my disposal. My old block A: My new engine C: Tools that i have: |
