Fraud
Can someone please tell me how to report a member for fraud? hessan34
Told me he would sell me a hitch for my 2006 wagon. I paid and then he kept having excuses for not sending a tracking number and then asked for $50 more multiple times. I told him I wanted to cancel my order and get a refund and he refused, just kept asking for the $50. I filed a fraud report with the FTC but this is a heads up for anyone thinking bout doing business with this individual...DONT... I did provide negative feedback for him. Very unpleasant experience Last edited by sharadn; 09-08-2024 at 10:44 AM.. |

Sucks.
File a dispute with your credit card or Paypal, whichever way you paid. That's your best option. Post your experience on the advert posting. |

If you use PayPal, use a credit card as the actual payment method via PayPal. You can still file a dispute with the credit card bank, which is MASSIVELY faster and easier than PayPal disputes, and you don't have to pay the credit card until the dispute is resolved - and I have NEVER had a credit card dispute not go my way. I have heard horror stories about PayPal disputes. PayPal is not a bank, and is not subject to the same level of consumer protections as a credit card. And make sure it's a CREDIT card and not a DEBIT card - debit cards don't have the same protections either.
BTDT when a guy tried to scam me out of $750 for some seats for my Spitfire. Thankfully, he originally wanted me to Venmo or Zelle him, which has ZERO recourse if you never get the stuff. I insisted on PayPal, which he eventually did, and then still never sent the stuff.
