I recently just purchased a 2008 335i and was wondering if this noise was normal.

No codes or anything runs through rpms perfect with no missfire

I know the n54 is Notorious for the injector tick. Was just wondering if i can get a second opinion.

sounds normal but not new, I would say.

Hard to compare, dpends on you microphone sensitivity, I use the engine cover (no acoustic dampening) and I have a exhaust...

But sound very similar to my low mileage N54 in top shape.

injectors, worn wastegate and HPFP do noise.

Ok thanks, yea I wasn’t sure how it sounded, i guess the injectors are just very loud.

yeah the injectors on the N54 are incredible loud, you can almost hear injector noise over the actual engine running.

Yeah the ticking noise is the injectors, standard noise.
