ST prerequisite question
Just wondering If I NEED anything else before I go single turbo
I own a 2007 335i and all the maintenance is complete the current mods are - CP + BOV - FMIC - DCI - inlet outlet - DP - JB4 I know the answer might be obvious to most but better safe than sorry. Last edited by bimmerNoob69; 09-27-2024 at 12:48 PM.. |

depends of the kit you get, top or bottom, some require more hardware from others. - boost control like MAC solenoid. Make sure you have the one with fitting and filter - waste gate - vacuum lines. - heat shields for wires and hose. - heat wrap if you dont have. - heat wrap silicon spray protector - catch can with extended hose - air filter - new O2 (get single bank fueling, and youll end up with 2 O2 instead of 4) - exhaust manifold seals (if kit dont come with) - wires ( to extend few sensors, mac and relocate harness due to heat ) - turbo blanket. - depending of the power level : low pressure fuel pump, meth or port injection. - I suggest a single exit exhaust for sound. - copper rtv sealant probably some I forgot. JB4 is very good for ST, but only with MHD backend flash. You can either get a custom MHD tune or use the one free online. Your FMIC should be fine depending the power. IMO valve cover and intake can remain stock in most ST setup. Blowoff even if you have 2, it should be fine. Im using a 25mm BOV from my TT charge pipe, all fine. |
