Wax On.......Windows?

Have any of you ever tried applying car wax on your windows? Well I have, and the results are remarkable!!

I begin cleaning the windows with an automotive window cleaner. I apply the window cleaner directly to a paper towel. I know, most of you are going to say, I use news paper. Well, I only apply the cleaner with a paper towel, I remove it with a lint free cloth. At this point the window is very clean. Next, I apply car wax, in this case, Meguiars Gold Class, to the window with a wax applicator, and let set for about 2 minutes. I again use a lint free cloth to remove most of the wax, and then buff to a CRISP clean shine with a microfiber cloth. I know, Trust me, you will Love the results!!

Yes, I forgot to mention that I do this on all my windows except the windshield. I too use rain x, but only on my windshield.

rain x is shit in my opinion. i always use wax on the windows and everyone always thinks im crazy. lasts 10x longer than rain x and brings out better results. hardly ever use wipers. thats just me though, i suggest a trial for others.

What does the wax on the windows actually do? Does it stop water spots and that on the windows?

My only worry, is that the wax bottle says don't put on rubber. If I put it on my windows, when I wind them down - it will get on the window rubbers, and then they'll crack and squeek and be generally unpleasant.

i know that klasse's instructions say to put it on your windows as well as your headlight covers. not only does it make the glass appear "clearer" but it also helps to bead up water.

klasse does say to not put it on your windshield because when the wipers go across it, it can smear and impair your vision.

Ack... forgot about that... I put some rejex on my windows this past weekend, and it works like a charm.. but I guess I should remove it from my windshield for the reason stated above...

Bes to always remove wax as soon as possible to avoid that problem. Jus have a wet towel handy for the mistakes.

I Zaino my windshield only - not the sides or rear window. I agree that's it's much more durable than Rain X - I hate that stuff.

i agree with others, rain-x is awful. i think it's a gimmick, because after one or two rains, you have to apply more or your windshield gets hazy
