Floor Mats and Cupholders
Just this morning I was thinking of replacing my rubber BMW floor mats with a set of the fancy carpet mats, now that they're showing up in stock at several places. Then this happened:
![]() I'm just glad I was able to save most of my $6 coffee! The one on the right fell out. Guess it was a sign, I'm keeping the rubber mats. This also reminded me of why cupholders weren't a primary concern by the E90 designers. If you're driving the cars the way they're meant to be driven you shouldn't have any cups/cans nearby. |

The way I drive (apparently "the way it was MEANT to be driven ;-), no beverage container/ cupholder would be safe from the G-Forces. ![]() George |

Went through that on my carpets, coffee with milk is not fun to remove. Had to get a tannin remover for the coffee portion.
The noise the cupholders make when they are in use drives me crazy, so try to avoid using them while driving. Still holding out hope the carpeted mats are restocked, been waiting forever. |
