Attention Engine Start Error
I never paid attention to this error till now...
Currently, I'm back tracking on what I did/changed on my E90, on how I got this error... I am able to start the car without stepping on the brake pedal, which is not normal. Especially if I need to go to "ignition" mode only. Has anyone ever dealt with this type of issue? Also, all my rear brake lights (3x) are constantly on when I start my car. I'm thinking, the car thinks i'm stepping on the brake (but i'm not) which allows me to start the car without stepping on the brake pedal. As for the 3x rear brake light issue, I have replaced the brake switch with no postive outcome. I'm in the process of reading other forums subject matter pertaining to the 3x rear brake issue. Overall, I am baffled on how I am able to start the car without stepping on the brake and I get the error as "Attention Engine Start". I'm hoping it is something simple (relay or correcting the 3x rear brake issue) that is causing this noted issue. Hopefully someone can shed some light and guide me on the right direction to correct the noted issue. Thanks and Merry Xmas!

Brandoch,
Yes, I scanned the car and I have no major ECU errors. The only error is that I'm also getting are the "brake lamp control circuit malfunction". I have thoughts that this noted error may be correlated to the "next press of button starts engine" error.. Attached are the list of errors noted...

Just did a scan on the car and pulled out the code "2F63" Brake Light Switch, Plausibility.
Which I went ahead and replaced the old brake light switch with a brand new OEM one. To add, all three brake lights remains to be "ON", even though I am not stepping on the brake.
