Engine removal

Hey guys, so I’m trying to pull my engine and this is my first time pulling an n54 out. I’ve watched a few videos to get an understanding on what to do, and what to remove/disconnect. I’ve removed and disconnected everything, I’ve got all the bolts out of the bell housing I have separation from the transmission but can’t seem to get it all the way separated. Could there be anything I’m missing. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

You’ve said you have watched some videos so that’s a good start.

Not much to go off of so here’s a little checklist

- torque converter bolts
- driveshaft to guibo is properly disconnected and out of the way
- transmission lines are not catching
- trans brace is not connected still

I know it may seem like stupid points but you never know

Use a Prybar and gently wiggle it between the bell housing and block, it may just need a little negotiation

Also try to adjust the jack height and position too.
