E1CF Error Showing Up - Suggestions?
I just did a routine scan with Protools and an E1CF come showed up. I googled and very little info on it. Just a little something about MOST errors when updating combox. 100% all stock CIC on an '09. No radio or display errors noticed, but 16 instances are logged. Clear the code and ignore, or should I be doing anything else?

Hi
That is M-ASK or CCC related error. ![]() Do you have retrofitted CIC & Combox? If yes then this error code is because your car ilevel is expecting a M-ASK or CCC unit but there is CIC instead. Everything will function properly and i have chosen to ignore this error (i have same error 100% of time) because you spend money upgrading modules and the only gain will be this error will not be shown. From what i know this can only be fixed if you update couple modules inside the car to LCI version. FRM2 to FRM3 You have 100% stock system - well i have no clue then. But i got this error after CIC & Combox retrofit and now you have some idea why it might come - modules in the car not happy with eachother. Last edited by Captain Buumer; 12-29-2024 at 02:39 AM.. |

Thanks for the reply Captain Buumer
Yes, 100% stock '09 LCI CIC. It's running Bluetooth dongle to connect to phones... that's the only thing unexpected on it. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0131P6P5E And everything seems to work, so it's not a problem ignoring it, just wondering what it would be... |
