Burnt JBE
Need some guidance, long story short alternator positive wire was unhooked and sitting on a ground (did a alternator job) , stupid me completely forgot about it and went to reinstall the battery as soon as i hooked the negative post to the battery it welded it self before i could react to it … sadly my jbe got burnt out in the process so i can’t hook up my obd to see the damage.. replaced it with a new jbe and it worked good till i hit the ignition to try and start car it burnt new one too. Strange enough tho sometimes the car starts no problems still no obd functions but other times you could hear have a short and the car wont start ir even crank Checked all the fuses and the seemed good.

You would get better results taking this problem to the general forum as this forum is suppose to be for Stereo an Audio mostly .
Look for George on the general forum There are three electrica trainng l pdfs in the attachment below There are fusible links in the battery distribution module on top of the batter and another fuse that powers the OBD in the cabin fuse board. You do not ever want to use battery back up when changing the battery is you did that. Last edited by ctuna; 02-07-2025 at 12:16 PM.. |
