2009 E90 TEL/MULF Module Programmed To Wrong SGBD
My 2009 E90 TEL/MULF module is throwing A37B and A37C fault codes. I can clear the codes with INPA and ISTA+ but they immediately come back. I don't use the telephone or Bluetooth in the car so it isn't any impact to me but they are the only fault codes the car has and I'd love to get rid of them. I have been researching this and reading as many forum threads as I can find on this. I also have searched it but didn't get any hits.
To make a long story short... I believe that the TEL/MULF module is programmed to the wrong SGBD. A co-worker has a 2009 E90 and the build date is only about a month apart from mine. We ran INPA on his car and he is showing the TEL/MULF module SGBD as TELE60_3, part number 9205929, address 36, correct VIN and a date of 19.08.2008. He does not have any fault codes and the telephone and Bluetooth functionality all works correctly. Running INPA on my car is showing the SGBD as TELE60_2, part number 9231088, address 36, correct VIN and a date of 05.02.2015. I did physcially verify that my TEL/MULF module shows part number 9205929. I'm thinking that somehow, someway, someone programmed this module to the wrong SGBD. I got the car this way and I have no idea on the history of this module. Is it possible to re-program this module to (what I believe is) the correct SGBD of TELE60_3? I verified that I have both of the .prg files in the EDIBAS/ECU folder (V71 SP-Daten). I have working BMW Standard Tools, INPA-P and ISTA+ installed on a dedicated laptop. I am by no means a coder or programmer but I can get around OK in most of the applications. I do have ICOM Next and a B adapter for MOST (if requried) so I should be good there. Any help or thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. It's not a critical problem but one that I would love to resolve. Thank-you. Joe |
