On3 N54 Kit Questions
Wondering if anyone in here has experience with running/installing the on3 kit and what you did for the following:
The turbo housing (gt30 55mm journal bearing) has no port for attaching a vacuum line. Was wondering if you have to drill/tap into the turbo housing yourself and create your own fitting for it, or if alternatively I could just drill/tap into the aluminum turbo outlet pipe that leads down into the inter cooler. I’d rather not drill into the turbo. The other issue I’m noticing is that there is no charge pipe c-clip hole going around the rim for the clip to go on, or a lip to sit the o-ring into. It’s just a thin and hollow aluminum charge pipe thats flat on both ends. I just don’t really see how to fit it to the throttle body. Any other tips for this kit/ST conversion in general are appreciated. Plan to install this weekend. Thanks. |

The kit is cheap and by the time you upgrade everything you should have just bought a quality ST kit.

However, last year the kit was 2700$usd for months, which make it very very cheap. boost reference can be drilled on the turbo housing, or even down the pipe. I assume there's also adapters that can be clamped. in example, speedtech provide a port in the boost pipe, and most of their turbo got a port on the housing. |
