Where have all the 1addicts gone?

Is it just me or is 1addicts posting traffic gone dead?

It seems a good majority of all new posts are from the Australians. What happened to all the excitement of pics posting, videos, driving or have many of you guys migrated to other message boards?

I still come here 3-6 times a day and check my subscriptions and click new posts but it seems most of the new threads nowadays are about BOVs and air intakes, more commercial traffic about items I have no real interest in, not about driving experiences, or picture taking, or the excitement of getting your new 1er?

I have wondered that myself. Been browsing bimmerpost more now these days as 1addicts posts move sooo slow now. It might be the fact that it's at the end of MY08 and everyone's new car enthusiasm has dwindled down. All of us 09 folk are still waiting for our cars so you might see a renaissance of traffic when delivery happens the end of the month. Also, this is probably due to the fact that the number of 1ers on the road is still pretty low compared to any other mass produced car. Then filter that amount by the number of ppl who actually made educated purchases through disussion here instead of just wanting the badge or the "cute looks" and the number of posters gets really low...

I am when I am not TDY for the Air Force which pretty much seems like all the time since May. A day here or a week there in-between is all I get.

Keep posting guys...I'm starting to think this is a commercial forum.

I think this forum was used by people mostly to find out information about the car before they bought it. After they made their decision, it seems they're less likely to come back and post.

I've noticed this with myself even, I just don't have anything new to talk about. Almost every topic has already been covered 3-4 times

Yup, it should step up once everyone starts getting their '09s. All the old questions will start to come out again.

I still visit multiple times a day. I notice a lot of posts still, but i usually click on the "New Posts" tab anyways. Just seems a lot more political crap lately on here than actual good car stuff.

Also, am I the biggest 1 addict that doesn't plan on getting the 1 any time soon?

I agree. 1addicts isn't as exciting as it used to be. Is there a new site for 1er's out there?

I visit the site daily and have picked up all kinds of useful information from others inputs. I have never posted any pictures yet, but I will. Trying to get all the driving I can before the snow and cold get here.

I dont know about that. I go out to the dealership frequently to test drive 135i's and have also gone to take pics of them. I can't get enough of the 1!
