The X6
So after having been on this website for a good amount of time and seeing what the 1 can do. I was wondering if anyone has taken the plunge on the X6 50. The capability of a JB3 like tune churning out 500+hp from that TTV8 is obviously there. Thoughts? Anything else to add?

I suspect that not only are X6 drivers as rare or rarer than 1 drivers, but that they are older and far less likely to be inclined to be a part of the ethusiast community like we have. You'll definitely find a couple of people, but I would guess that the X6 driver is similar to a 7 series driver. The 'buy' performance cars, not tinker with them.

If money wasn't an issue, I would have a tuned x6 to drive around in and a sick 135i for the track. They are too rich for my blood though.

There's a problem with modifying the ttv8. The intake manifolds are designed to blow apart at 1 bar of pressure. Unless you plan on having custom intake manifolds installed, tuning will be a challenge. And with how tight the engine bay is in those, it will be expensive...

Well I hope there is a project X6 in the works. I love the way it looks and the accleration is 2nd to none for an SUV.

It seems that people who spend money on a car like that aren't exactly looking to modify it. I've been to a few bmw events, where more of the actual consumer base was there, not enthusiasts and tuners, and those are the type of people that buy a car for what its stock worth is, and don't look for potential beyond that.
