Me and Mickey are tight. Had dinner with him numerous times at the Contemporary, over the years.
Xbook... jealous. I just saw Gran Torino two nights ago. One of the best movies I've seen in ages... incredibly talented person. Speaking of talented people, they don't hand those trinkets out to anybody. Nice work! |

Never really got to hobnob with any famous people in my adult life but in my childhood years I did meet: Alex Haley and Fred Berry a.k.a Re-Run.

Brother-in-law is one of the New Kids On The Block. Got to do a lot of touring with those guys, back in the day, and there were always people back stage. Also, back in the day, they had Bob Wolf as their agent, who also was the agent for some big name people. Met Bob, his wife, and daughters and in London, and played hoop backstage with Bob. Got invited to meet up with Larry Bird on the parquet at the Boston Garden a few days after that. The Garden was empty except for the three of us, and I even shot a few baskets with Larry and Bob.. just goofing around.
Bob got roasted a couple of months later, and I met one of his other clients there, Doug Flutie, whom I golfed with a couple times after that. Bob and his family are great people, and was very sad to see him pass. Also, because we had hookups to tickets, we got to go to other shows, like backstage at a few Aerosmith shows, Tom Petty shows, Billy Joel shows, etc. Matter of fact, at one of the Billy Joel show they didn't have seats for us, so they rolled a big black rigging box onto the side of the stage, and I actually got to sit on stage for a Billy Joel concert. Got many stories from those trips.. Paparazzi helicopter hitting high voltage powerlines right above us, while eating backstage behind a stadium in Shreveport, LA. Powerlines exploded, pilot jumped out, as we watched from 100 feet below them, photographer rode the copter to the ground as it crashed, blades shattering all over the place. Nuts. Sorry for the longish post. Thought somebody might be interested. (oh, and I'm not saying which New Kid) |

Got to escort Ann Margaret & Bob Hope thru the hospital wards when they came to visit the troops overseas back in '69.
Rod Cameron was a customer of mine back in the early 80's. He had moved to Gainesville, Georgia and later died here in '83. One of my uncles was a little actor in a lot of western movies, had a big Christmas tune years ago and owned the California Angels...you might have heard of him...Gene Autry. Call

Few weeks ago I met Johnathan Cheechoo of the San Jose Sharks. Turns out he lives down the street from me!
Have also met Mike Ricci numerous times as he used to go to all of my high school football games. Apparently a friend of mine (cheerleader) used to babysit his kids. Such a nice guy. |

I've been good friends with Chris Mortensen (from espn) for several years. When I lived in Atlanta, he lived just few houses down from me.
He actually helped me get a job at ESPN Zone, and of course I met a ton of people there |

No one willing to admit it.
My wife and and I almost literally bumped into Arnold and Maria in the plaza once. His head is enormous. It's like a big trash bucket sitting on his shoulders.

I had dinner with Niki Taylor. She was good friends with my friend's wife.
A few years ago I got to shoot free throws with some of the Miami Heat during one of their practices. Finally, when I was 10 or 12, I practiced with the Brasil world cup team, when the WC was in the states.

I was on a Carnival ship elevator with Travis Barker 5years ago. My younger brother was laughing at all the tattoos and white knee socks. He didnt have a clue. His wife was a hottie. I bumped into Halle Berry, Queen Latifah, Christina Milian, Eric Benet, and RICK ROSS in the Bahamas as well. I should have gotten my happy ass up earlier the last time I was there. My family went to breakfast without me and sat next to Shakira. Just go to Atlantis. Its a super star haven. They like the Bahamas because the locals do not give a shit who you are.

Oh yeah, my mom can go to the Oprah show whenever she wants for free. Her best friend is Gayle King's sister. Gayle King is Oprah's best friend.
She never goes though. **Apparently Oprah dosent allow gum chewing in her $50,000,000 Santa Barbara castle.
