the last time i watched hockey....Greztky, Fuhr, Messier, etc. were playing for the Oilers...

they were awesome! so were the calgary flames too....mid 80's.

And I'm shocked that members with such great taste in cars, would mistake a hockey thread for one about those other lesser sports. LOL

I was pulling hard for the 'Canes. First, because Brind'Amour was one of my favorite Flyers & he deserved to hoist the Cup... but more importantly, I'm still stinging from the Cup losses to the Oilers in 85 & 87.

My guess is that Edmonton HAD to have sold their soul to the devil in order to have Gretzky, Messier, Coffey, Fuhr, and Kurri (among others) in their prime all on the same team.

Then again, the game 7 broadcast was probably interrupted a few times in Carolina with NASCAR updates.
