CPO 330i @ BMW Peabody advice?
Well if anyone's seen my posts before i was in the market for a 335i sedan, but i've done alot of thinking & decided to look more into a CPO'd 330i to save money, especially with the 0.9% financing
anyways the dealer near me has an 06' 330i Alpine White with Terra interior (the exact color options i wanted) *Sport *Premium *Nav *Cold Weather But doesn't have Comfort Access (which is something i wanted, but no big deal i can insert a fob lol ) its CPO'd & has 48k miles on it, they are asking ~$27k (hoping i can talk them down to around 25k) going this route opposed to the 335i would save me a year in financing & probably a good amount of money, so do you guys think this is a good deal? And do you think they would go down to 25k? Anything I should know about purchasing a CPO'd bmw with 48k miles? Any and all recommendations, advice is appreciated, thanks! Also how is the service @ BMW Peabody? Its about an hours ride for me, but I've heard good things. I've been in contact with a Jason Madruga there, he seems pretty nice. |

I had a friend trade in their '06 330xi with nav, sport, premium, cold, comf access with 48k miles for $24k about a month ago..... so if Peabody is asking for $27k with the CPO warranty.. that's not a bad deal.

I think 48k miles is a bit on the high side for a 2006. I agree with Arustik on this one - about $23k.
Even then I might shop around for one with less miles on it, unless this one is extremely clean. I looked at an 07 335i with 47k mi. on it and it was a bit rough |

Little too much
This past May I bought a 07 335i sport with 16k for 34 with CPO - of course, the economy was doing way better. Basically, for a 330i with that many miles I think 23k would be fair. If you play hardball with Peabody, they'll cave...

That seems high. I got a CPO '06 330i there in October with premium, comfort access, sirius, bluetooth, logic 7, and cold weather with only 18k miles for $25,900. No nav or sport though.
You could probably talk them down to 25 or 26. I like BMW Peabody. No complaints. I've not had any major service done there, but the service centre at Centennial is nice and easy to get to, at least for me. Who are you dealing with there?

I'm sure you can talk them down on the price to at least 25. As for service, I've been using them since '04 and they've been excellent. Centenial is nice because you can drive your car right inside - great for rainy days, etc... Good luck!

With CPO I think you're pretty much guaranteed to be getting a car in pristine shape though. Mine seriously felt brand new. Is this the one? http://www.bmwpeabody.com/used-inven...seHistory=true It matches what you said, except it doesn't seem to have nav.

Dude if you could do that for me i'd be really appreciative, thats so cool of you, yeah if you could do w/e u can, pics, or just a general once over, see if the rims are scratched, tire tread, the usual stuff and yea if you click "OPTIONS" it shows it has Navigation package installed as well as the other packages, since there aren't any pictures on the site anything you can score would be great any pictures and/or general thoughts on the looks of the car would save me from having to drive all the way up there from Foxboro, so thanks ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I picked up my car new from BMW of Peabody and had a very good experience. Also, the service at Centennial Drive is excellent. It takes me about a 1/2 hour to get there, but it's well worth it. Very clean, modern and spacious center, and they've always treated me well. If you'd like a SA recommendation, just send me a PM.

Yeah, Centennial is great. I love going there
![]() I'm making the rounds trying all the SAs. I've tried two so far. Roowah, I'd be interested in your recommendation.

I'll throw my two cents in and also gives a thumbs up to Centennial. Easy to get to (for me at least), clean, spacious, comfy seating. My only gripe is that I had received non-BMW loaners on two separate occasions a while back (one was some awful Dodge something or other). Since then, I've only had BMW loaners.
My SA is great, very professional and familiar with my service history. |

I think their days of non-BMW loaners are over. I recently got an email about their old loaners being put up for sale and they were all BMWs. Mainly sluggish 528xi's but still better than some Dodge piece of trash. If they ever offered me a Dodge I'd just call a friend for a ride.
I'm guessing they used to be cheap bastards and used trade-ins as loners since they could never put them on their lot without looking like the used car pot luck dollar store.

I got my '07 328xi (23k) with Cold, Premium, Sport for $31k back in March. They also gave me the wheel-tire warranty after I came back complaining of a tire bump from a single pot hole (occurred during the test drive).
Centennial is alright, stay away from Kay though. She isn't very nice and she forgot to order a part for me when I had scheduled service, so I had to make a return trip. (30 minutes each way eating up another half of a Saturday). Brian is great though. After I bought the car I noticed the leather on the drivers seat bolster was worn out and they replaced the leather completely. Of course, the seat squeaked and they have since fixed that. Also, they left the computer box under the seat dangling, I had to reattach it. Otherwise, I've been happy with Centennial.

I just purchased an 06 330xi, Premium, Heated seats, CPO, etc with 19.5k miles for $29k, the car is pristine, not a scratch on her. I don't know how much value the 'x' adds, and there's no navi, but figured I'd share.
I bought from Herb Chambers in Boston. I had a trade, Peabody insisted that I come down there to evaluate it, they _needed_ to see it. Drove all the way over on my lunch, they quoted me a price from the book, never looked at the car once, told me I was upside down in value and that was it. Didn't offer me a test ride, didn't come up with options or discussion, nothing. Never been so insulted in all my life of buying cars, and I've bought a few. They INSISTED that I had to bring the car to them to value it, and didn't even do me the courtesy of looking out the window. I'll never do business there. Herb's salesman was outstanding, despite being a difficult dealership to get to and worked with me and got a sale, plus a loyal customer. My $0.02 |

You know, I actually don't mind being lowballed, I know to expect it, I sell boats as a part time hobby, so I have an idea of what goes into being a salesman. That part wasn't the bad part. Actually, HC didn't give me much more than what Peabody offered, as it turns out, and I'm sure I probably paid for it in the price of the new car. But, I got there, they took the keys and went and looked through it and in the meantime, I took an 07 328xi for a test drive, looked at some 5s, walked through the Porsche dealership (gah!), etc... They did me some courtesy at the end of the day.
It was just the wasting of my time. If all you're gonna do is read from a book, and not be interested in my business, do it on the phone... Don't insist I come there. Last edited by plutnicki; 01-28-2009 at 04:05 PM.. |

Higgins,
You probably noticed by now, but they added pics to the site. For some reason you can't open the bigger ones yet but I reckon they'll fix that soon. If the Features tab is correct, you do have Logic 7 since it says there are 13 speakers. Congrats. 8)

I'm confused how that will work out or if i should just have them register the bimmer with new plates & have the registry swap them around later? |

I wouldn't pay $25k+ on a 48k+ mile car
since you going to finance anyways....step down to a lower base model and get a new car monthly payments shouldn't be that much diff.. unless you have a really tight budget you want my 325xi for $26k (under 30000 miles) ?
