Best tire for everyday driving and "Mexico" street/drag racing??
I am looking for a tire that will be good for everyday drving and good for street drag racing.
I have heard that the Bfgoodrich KDW 2's are a good choice. I am not looking for something that will die after 5 or 10k miles either. I know its hard for the best of both worlds but something that is comprible. What do you guys think?? |

What is "Mexico" street racing? Are you just trying to make people think you'll be racing in Mexico and not endangering people here in the US?

you drive all the way from NY to Mexico to drag race just to keep the people on the US highways save? Somebody should give you a medal or some sort of honor for doing that. Seriously

Im looking for the same thing, but for street use and dragstrip racing. I don't feel like changing my tires out. I may go with Toyo Proxes R888, but am open to other suggestions. It doesn't technically have to be a drag radial, just something that will hook and last more than 8k miles.

For the OP, the KDW 2s are nice but if you can find a set of the original KDWs, they have better hookup off the line. |

Yeah, wearing them out quickly is a big concern for me. But, I have a friend who drives them daily on his 500whp e55. He hasnt had any complaints yet and he drives 100x more crazy than I do. I'll let you know how it goes!

Dunlop direzza star spec that 'the' sticky street tire everyone is excited about at the moment. You should be able to get 15k miles out of a set
If you have the money to burn pzero corsa and pilot sport cup are good choices for a daily driven r compound tire |
