Wrap in CF Fabric on different areas

Has anyone tried to wrap in these areas(red dots)? Is it doable?

I don't think the cup holder is possible, too tight to fit fabrics over. If you wrapped the usual trims then you should know this.

I believe some vendor who is using thicker material will need to modify some parts in order to fit properly, ie: ashtray lid cover. I think when you want to revers back to stock look, you will notice a bigger gab.

I believe some vendors using thinner vinyl fabric(not for automotive use) will tear easily and ashtray lid will NOT close properly.

yes, that is correct and it could be happen if the installer who doesn't know what he/she is doing!! IMHO, I rather use the thinner fabric and no need to modify the parts than modifying the parts to fit the what so call automotive use vinyl

well thank you for admitting to that. I'd rather have a working ash tray door than have problems opening and closing with thin vinyl.

Also I'd rather use automotive aproved vinyl than thin non auto vinyl.

And Thank you for admitting that you need to modify the ashtray door area in order to have a working ashtray door due to your thick vinyl metarial

. So members who is going for this thick vinyl wrap, please think it twice, because you might have a big gab when you return back to stock. FYR, there is no problems opening and closing with the thinner fabric when you adjust the ashtray position correctly.
Here are two clips that everyone can see both ashtrays open and close properly without any issue. This is also proven by many other DIY members.

the easiest way is add some washers where you normally screws down the ashtray...this will bring down the whole ashtray around 1/8" which might solve your problem. Good luck!

I would get some thinner washer to start with, you always can add more washers until the ashtray cover open freely.
