Hey Alvin,

17 to 18 L per 100 km for the M3...

13 L/100km for the 335i

Cheers,
Mike

Try to avoid traffic jam, you can really watch the gas meter drop in the M3 between traffic...

You guys mean, M3 consume less fuel than a 335i ???
Emm... this is interesting to know...
a V8 4.0L spends less than a V6 3.0L ??

Depending on location:

Normal city driving 17-20 L/100km

Highway cruising 13-15 L/100km

Track day 30-40 L/100km

Hi, I did not find a way to create my own thread, so I want to ask this way. I own e91 330d 2006 (170kw M57) and in no way I can find reliable way to monitor fuel consumption. When I use the button on the left stalk, I can go from estimated range before the fuel tank is empty - to avg. speed - to avg. fuel consumption. The last one is exactly what I was looking for, but it seems that the interval it uses to measure is either way too long, or it just does not really work at all. Any idea how to implement a new way of monitoring the avg. fuel consumption? Like a new radio or and extra dial?

Also, the same goes for water temp. and oil temp. But these are not implemented in any way, or I just cannot find them. Even my brother with e46 has a water temp. marker, why is there none in e91?
Any smart ways how to implement these two?

Sorry for parasitating on your thred, but I really cannot find a way to create my own.

reset the trip distance and you will see that average will be close to instant consumption
the water temp can be looked up by activating instrument cluster test menu, check youtube videos for that
the oil temp can be shown if you decide to modify instrument cluster internals (swap to tacho with temp gauge) and code the instrument cluster using PerfektToolbox free software.

Thank you very much. Will try it, seems that it could be just what I was looking for.
