procede v3 rev II...now what for more power?
I want more power but I dont have the needed funds. Im on stage 1 with a helene drop in and run 93 octane. Im on his latest maps as well. This tune is so consistent that I feel I need more power already. what can I do to get more power without spending a ton? Thanks for any input. I havent played with the setting yet because I havent set everything up yet. Ill be good to go in a few days.

I think your next best options would be: 1. Catless downpipes ($500-$700) 2. Dual Cone Intake ($100-$300) 3. Intercooler but that would be third priciest at around $1000!

stage 2 is good with exhaust only? I can get a dci right now but I wont even feel it. I think exhaust will be next.

for some reason Im afraid to do the catless downpipes for warranty reasons, although I heard it adds decent power.

Well it depends...only sort of noticeable when they're under the car. And it won't be a problem until you have warranty related issues. Like I said, every dealer is different, some dealers are still willing to perform warranty work as long as you put back the stock DPs.

You're only option is to go with the catless downpipes, you can't beat the power to money ratio. With an exhaust, at most you will gain 10-15 hp, and a full system will cost much more than downpipes.

Have you tried 100 octane yet? That will yield more incremental power than DPs, IC, and DCI combined.

I think I'll just do the downpipes. My dealer and I have a good relationship.

Well I tried, turning into a Shiv's ho thread...
You might consider the IC first, I think that is the better component in terms of power and reliability. Shiv recommends the Helix, I have the Code 3 Spearco but they're similar.

honestly I think I'd rather get a better intercooler first. Better for the engine and it looks better. Ill start saving.

I honestly think getting an open air intake will definitely help you out for sure...you need to let the engine breathe better and the helene filter actually does balls...just effective like OEM filter...I think with limited funds for now, you can pick up an intake used!

Ive been stage 3....
I'd get intake first, then jump to IC if your town is usually warm (80+) otherwise get DP's. If you have the cash, jump straight to turbo upgrade. Getting all the little bolt ons doesnt give you the same amount of umph the Procede gave you alone. Take the $$ you would dump on IC, DP, Exhaust and get a set of new turbos. If your too worried about warranty thing go with the first plan I suggested. Your not forced to buy from the vendors on this forum... Some local shops can custom make the same mods for less. |
