335d - 40-60mph and 50-70mph times??

Does anyone know these times? Can't find them anywhere!

Basically I'm looking at getting a Saab 9-3 TTiD 180bhp, the new twin turbo one to replace the 335d.
Mainly due to recently having a kid and also being able to get a very good deal on one.

I'm just trying to compare figures on paper before i drive one, I know it's not going to be as quick as the 335 and that doesn't bother me as I'll only be keeping it for a 8-12 months then hopefully getting an E46 M3.

The Saabs figures are:
40-60 - 5.0s
50-70 - 6.3s

How does this compare?

so why do you want to know then???

the saab is slower than a standard 320d to 60 and to 100 by quite some margin, so i think it will be much, much slower than the 335d.

Not my money but i think thats a bad mistake as when u want ya E46 M3 you will have lost a bucket load on a Vectra...sorry a SAAB.

Why dont you just get a 335d touring or saloon?.

So I can work out how disappointed I'll be with the lack of performance

Only .1 slower to 60 than the 320d, 7.9 and 8.0?

I know, I know......never thought I'd be thinking about buying/driving a Saab let alone getting rid of a 335d for one but through a family connection I can drive it for a year sell and hopefully make some money on it.

I would imagine remapped the Saab to be more flexible although remapped according to many is still similar

SAAB 180-turns into 218bhp-450nm-2 turbos

BMW 177-turns into 220bhp-444nm-1 turbo

I still think residually ull be taking a monster bang with a SAAB.

Deffo be looking at a remap, as for the residuals I've done my maths and it should work out in my favour. That said who knows in the current climate. Fingers crossed!

Anyone got those in-gear times?!

Well based on 4th i would have thought...320d is quoted at 6.6 4th gear 50-75 i think so,around the same mark-new 330d is 4.8-335i is 5.3.Nothing for 335d on the website.

Thanks Budgie, nowhere seems to have the figures for the 335d, but looking at the 320d and new 330d times above I can get an idea.

Also Budgie, That E92 in your sig looks the nuts! what blue is that?

Based on your times at Brunters:

40-60 - 2.6secs
50-70 - 2.9secs

Quite a big difference to the Saab, but if the Saab is short term and a financially viable option then go for it.

Jules.

forgot to look back at those times,
jesus better get used to allowing more time for journeys then!

Going to miss the 335d and probably get bored of the saab very quickly but needs must. It will also make the M3 feel alot faster when I get it which will be a brucie

Hope you're well and cheers Jules,
