Does the Warranty cover wear and tear?

Everytime I sit in my car, my ass rubs against the outer side bolster of my seat. As a result the leather on the bolster is wearing a lot more quicker than the rest of the seat. If the leather were to wear down and tear, would the dealer replace it under the extended warranty?

They are regular seats, not the sport seats.

I got all the rubber parts of both door handles replaced and my cup holders and center console as well as the wood trim on the handles and center part because i found some cracks in the wood and the rubber/plastic was starting to "flake". So basically I got almost all my wood trim replaced and all the plastic parts of the interior that i normally touch due to Wear and Tear!

All Under WARRANTY!

ps this was on my 02' e46.

Good to know since I'm sure everyone is having this problem or will.

It also depends on the severity. It looks like BenMW had a crack which is pretty obvious but less conspicuous wear and tear may be harder to justify.

Wear and tear is not covered by warranty. If a manufacturing defect results in abnormal wear and tears (such as cracked trim) then the warranty would cover it.

I suggest raising that bum upon entry

good thing you don't have the sport seats, you might not be able to get in/out of the car

the same problem kinda bothers me. but ill just train myself not to touch the side bolster when getting in. getting out is okay as my back just slides over the side bolster and then i get out of the car.
