Some of you actually guessed it in the other thread. Of course, I couldn't confirm it until we made a bit more headway into it.
But it's official. The PROcede will be interfacing with the factory CANbus network. One of the updates we made to the Rev.2 is incorporating 2 CAN modules and transceivers (Freescale S12 processor and 82C250 transiever). The S12 processor has hardware message filtering which will allow us to ignore all messages that we want to ignore and recognize only the ID message that we want to accept. It can then throw in interrupt at which time we can alter or erase the message. These messages can come from any one of the dozens of modules on the CANbus (TCU, DME, Dash, DSC, etc,.) Which basically means that we will have effectively brought our little PROcede to levels of functionality unheard of in any tuning device (that we are aware of at least). The very first feature we will be implementing is the ability to clear all OBD and BMW extended codes through the PROcede User Software. This means that it will erase all present and historical/shadow codes (yes, 2D25 manipulation code included). This will benefit those who just want piece of mind before taking their car into the dealership. Still have a bit more work to do before we release the goods. But it's coming. The update will consist of new firmware and a small harness update that the user can install himself (5 min job at most). The current batch of PROcedes harnesses (that are being built right now) have already incorporated this update. After the code clearing feature, expect a few features that will integrate the PROcedes user adjustable features with the factory dash. Can't say more about that now but let's just say that it will be cool ![]() In our minds, the PROcede will continue to be the best and most flexible tuning solution for our beloved n54 platforms. It just keeps on getting better. And there is A LOT more to come! Cheers, shiv |

wow thats pretty cool. So in other words, can the procede clear error codes similar to the Bavarian tool which everybody is snatching up (enthusiast and pro versions) for around $290??
Thats very good functionality as it'll save people money in also purchasing the device to clear codes, although I'm sure the features of the procede arent as in depth as the other device/tool |

Heck yea!! I just got my Rev II today. It would be sick if we could get stats on boost and have map changing ability in our Idrive menu.

![]() Back to the CANbus subject, I assume that since you have "assimilated" this part of the car's intelligence, we can get a TON more parameter manipulation without the need for more Inputs/outputs?? i.e. an exponential increase in upgradeability? Also I am hoping we can get a boost Gauge integrated into the Dash??? YES! YES!??? I am glad I hopped on the REVII Upgrade Band Wagon! |

Doubt it as you are missing the Hardware that can communicate with the CANbus network...Unless Shiv somehow builds a secondary addition that includes that hardware that can somehow integrate with the REVI

![]() They should introduce good deal to change this setup to new one. Wasn't original v.1 like 1300$ and v3 upgrade 350$? |

Well similar to consumer electronics, My 42" plasma was almost $6,000 dollars 2 years ago too...Now one can acquire a superior Screen for about 1/4 the cost.... |

Can we use parts from a V2 harness to do this upgrade or a new set of "update" harness will be required (assuming you already have a Rev. II procede)? Thanks.
