Bzzzzzzzzzzzz sound after installed CP-E

So i just installed the CP-E with quad TI tips
i have seem many threads saying they got bzzzzz sound after installed aftermarket exhaust
and they put tennis ball or whatever at the tray
so i was wondering
what tray are u guys refering?
inside the trunk under the carpet one?
or the ash tray ?
or the black sliding tray?
thanks

I found it a bit too loud for the CP-E planning to put a silencer or change to a high flow cat pipes instead of catless= =

I haven't noticed any bzzzz sound. I do have a slight drone between 2000 and 2200 rpm, outside of that sound is amazing.

i get a bzZzZz or rattle sound from the latch on the center armrest. i just put a small piece of felt tape where the armrest locks into the center console and that quiets it up.

do you happen to have any sound clips with the catless downpipes??? i have the same exhaust, but stock dp's still... im looking to get a set of catless dp's in the near future though...

Nice to hear that you finally installed it... how do you like the sound? I didn't know that you were catless.

The rattling is definitely from the sliding tray in between the two rear seats. After trying to mess around with tape I ended up just removing the lid and now its rattle free, even with an eisenhaus race.

Really? You think its too loud? Hmm... I didn't think that the CP-E droned at all. I would give it a month and see what you think then.

thats what i did for now too. you might have to play around with it to get it right. like for me, at first i just crammed the ball in there and closed the slider, but it did not eliminate the buzzing for me. so now i have the ball at the very rear of the compartment and the slider closed about 2 inches from all the way open( meaning the compartment is about 85% open). some people said putting two tennis balls in there and closing it works better, i am gonna try this because the way i have it now just looks GHETTO.

you definitely should drive around with it for a while before you put the stock catts into the equation, give yourself some time to adjust...I also thought it was super loud as soon as i installed it, but after a week I was used to the sound...you have to remember that you came from a exhaust that was quiet as hell!

^ This is what I was just thinking. Billy, are you sure that you don't have an exhaust leak? Its been a while since I had the CP-E on my car, but I don't remember it being super-loud anywhere in the rev range to the point where I couldn't listen to music or have a conversation in the car.

Also, I don't know where to put the tape since I just removed the lid. All of the two way tape that I had was too thick to get the lid to slide closed so I just removed it.

+1, definately give it a bit for you to adjust. I also thought it was a bit loud at first, but I love it now.

same here man. the first couple days with my eisenmann race i was like uh oh, what have i done, this thing is sooo loud. i cant tell if i'm just getting used to it or its breaking in and queiting down but i am now in love with it. i am getting terrible mpg's because i am punching it every time i drive just to hear it. note: i think it really does quiet a bit while breaking in because i let my brother take it for a spin the first day i had it installed and he was making fun of me saying how i destroyed a nice car because its soooo loud, and yesterday he drove it and said that it sounds awesome now. he definatly thinks it quieted down a lot
