G37s stock to e93_335 stock to SSTT to JB3v1.22
First and foremost...much credit goes to Alex. His JB3 instll took all but 15 min...while we were chatting it up. This is certainly the guy to go to for any e9x mods you may want to do in the future and not willing to do yourself. VERY professional and VERY down to earth as well...He will be doing my downpipes and intercooler once they come in...So anybody in the NJ/NYC area should definately give him a buzz...the guy knows his stuff...
So now lets get to the review... First words after driving the new tune - HOLY S**T!!! First impression - Car hauls A$$!!! There is definately a HUGE power difference between the SSTT than the JB3. Down low the SSTT has a tick more torque at low rpm while the JB3 waits until about 3500rpm for the nuclear explosion of power. The JB3 is just so smooth through all the way to redline you feel as if your driving a v8with all the power your getting... it pulls until you dont want to pull any longer basically... compared to the SSTT.. the SSTT basically falls flat on its face after about 80mph then it basically almost feels stock. However its gives good power from the VERY beginning. The JB3 feels like the power never ends once kicked in...and it kicks in fast...put it in DS if you wanna get there faster.... Now ...I have read a bunch of threads in this forum about how a stock g37s could take a stock 335i... I am going to put those threads to rest being that I used to have one(for 8 months)... Granted the G37 is a good car...its quick...but its NOT fast...the 335 is fast...I can definately feel the difference between the two cars and it was night and day. I also pulled on one while I was in baltimore WITH the top down, WITH luggage, WITH my gf in the passenger seat...so any 335 will walk a g37s as long as they are a decent driver...and basically any 335 with any tune will blow the doors off one... |

I've never seen anyone argue that a G37 can take a stock 335i, not even on the Z/G forums

G37, just like G35, FEEL fast. i have tried explaining this to people many times, they dont understand until they drive both cars for a period of time.. the 37 FEELS fast cuz its takes off fast, but after 40 mph it slows down and isnt as fast. also the loud exhaust note makes this whole experience feel even more fast..
whereas a 335 is easy on the pedal and doesnt take off so fast (talking about step in D mode) and doesnt make loud obnoxious sounds when rolling...but we all know what happens once you get a 335 moving.
