Best Gas in SoCal

What stations have the best gas? I always thought shell, but when i pump'n the other day, i noticed a little disclaimer saying "we might use up 10% ethenol"...

And do octane boosters work? If so which are the best ones?

I've been using Mobil since around '04. Never had an issue with any of my cars.

I use to use Sam's Club gas, which is a joke. Car would have to crank several times before it would start. Now using Chevron, car always start on the first crank! Check out www.toptiergas.com.

il settle for quality over price...always chevron...if i cant then mobile...then shell...i know a lot people on the forum use shell, but i filled it up a few times and it SUCKS...at least for me...finishes fast, and i dont notice any advantage as far as performance...but maybe its just me.

I seem to get the worst mileage on a tank of Shell, prefer Chevron.

all gas is the same. all the companies buy from the same pipeline. it's just the additive that makes the difference. sorry to get technical, but when you see an arco truck stopping at a shell at 3am on a random week day you should think there's something up. i have seen it more than once, also my brother-in-law. i learned all this while going through recruiting and trying to get a job a few years back at usc.

I actually do the exact opposite, cause I blame Mobile for my first 2 hpfp failures!

I see you are in Newps... there is a 76 station by the Port Streets that has racing gas I believe. My friend told me he used to go there to put gas in his Turbo S. I was gonna go there the other day but I just went to the Chevron on Jamboree. I usually go the that Chevron or the Shell on the corner next to it I heard it's good to change up your gas once in a while.

the refining process of all these companies are more or less the same....its only the detergent and addictives that they mix in the last step that makes the difference.....

76 FTW!
I only put 76 in my cars.. go to the one on Imperial/State College or the one near Imperial/Idaho. Best prices @ 76.
