how much different is it?? im not sure what to buy.. if the e93 is way way worse then the e92 handling wise then i wont consider it at all.. anyone have any views?? im looking for a daily driver, i currently have only one car an 09 gtr. heres the thing if i get an e92 ill mod it completely, brakes, rims, seats, exhaust intercooler everything. but if i get the 93 im gonna keep it stock besides chip. oppinions?

+1 unless money is no issue. Plus you are in Canada. Toronto too at that. I just think its not worth the extra $$$. Better spent on mods since you seem to be an enthusiast.

Just get an E92 M3. Amazing deals out there. You look like you have the money.

No need for mods.

Worry free ownership.

You have a M logo in your sig, afterall.

If you are set on the E93, I wouldn't bother getting the M.

But if you deciding between a heavily modded E92 335i and E92 M3. No question I would get the M3: looks, sound, comfort, top knotch.

i understand the whole m thing but if i do get another m it will be my 4th m.. and i dont really like people staring at my car thats why i mostly looking at the 335i's i want something more low profile.. all the stares i get from the gtr makes me nervous enough as it is..

Screw the stares. Just get a M6, tint the windows and roast people. I guess that is what the GTR is for.

On a serious note. Sounds like you want the E93 335i. Like you said there is no need to mod the vert. It will be a great daily driver. It is difficult though, when you start adding options on the E93. You get right near M3 prices and you start thinking, hmmmmm.

let an E93 driver chime in for a change...top down...this thing has minimal roll compared to an E92... but it is 400lbs heavier. Tuned =

I'd get the E93 M3 in a heart beat, plus Dinan's supposed to come out with a 500hp package anyways....so there is your bump in power....personally, I love having the top down, I don't really care for what others say.

However, if you're going to track....: keep the GT-R

p.s. I've gone on the twisty drives with it, and it handled like a champ....dunno what the real differences are though...

thanks for that.. if u cant notice it then im sure its fine.. like if a normal driver can notice a difference in handling with the coupe and vert then theres a problem.. i think ill try test drive the vert before making any decisions.. although the last time i went for a test drive i found it pointless as im not really allowed to do anything with the car on a drive so i find it quite pointless..

Then just order exactly what you want instead of getting the ones on the lot that are not exactly what you want. Easy...

BTW: Vert is a few hundred pounds heavier, thats it. Not dramatically different from the coupe. Looks like E93 is your best bet then. Handling will be a little different, nothing too noticeable unless you are really looking for it.

M3 = great car with incredible handling: that is until a modded 335 passes you on the highway like you are standing still.

btw, to the OP: if you got the bucks: get the e93 and do all the mods. thatīs what i did (although i am alot poorer now)
you live in signapore and toronto? i used to live in h kong so i know you have the bucks.

got a broken arm? get the 6AT with paddle shifters. the auto is faster than the manual anyway.
handling questions? just get the sports suspension and throw on some dunlop Drizza 1 and you are set.

IMHO, nothing beats going topless - just do it right with all the added hp you can.

suggestions:
*do not get light interior with the vert: it will get so dirty so fast.
i have the black dokota leather. the special leather does not heat up even with the sun shinning directly on the seats.
*do the vert - fully modded - and bring your sedan to toronto and ship the vert to signapore

my 2 cents.

I have had both E92 stock (except tune) and now E93 and mods listed in sig.

Biggest difference for sure is the weight E93 is heavier and you feel it. For daily drive you mostly feel that when accelerating (nothing that tune will not "fix") not in corners. When you push it you notice that in corners it also tends to understeer and off course there is bodyroll.

But as did sway bars and Kw's suspension all those negative things are completely gone and my cars handling it great, definetly better than stock E92 without sacrificing comfort.
