3 Series Comparison Drive

Hey guys,

I'm normally over at 1addicts but I thought I'd fill you fellow Canadians in on a little event that's happening soon. Most of you guys are probably already 3 Series owners but if you or someone you know is considering buying one, check this out:

3 Series Comparison Drive - English
3 Series Comparison Drive - French

I did the flash programming for it and some other stuff... anyway, hope you enjoy it, and even if you don't sign up for the test drive let us know what you think of the little experience

For those of you signing up for the Toronto one.. I may see you there!

Too bad, no signup for Edmonton or Calgary.

Anyway this is the exact reason why I'm on this forum now. I did the X-Drive Comparison test back in 2006 and 2007. In 2006, I was actually considering getting an Audi A4 or Acura TL, not a BMW 3 series.

Judging from the website, the course is the exact same that BMW used for the previous two comparison tests too. The course they make you drive through is nothing you'll get to experience on a regular road test drive. It's very similar to the same course they use at a driving school for defensive driving and accident avoidance driving.

I definitely recommend this to anyone looking at buying a BMW in the future.

I just signed up.
They didnt pick me for the 1 series drive last time. Hopefully they'll pick me this time.

They PICK people?! Seriously hmm...does anyone know on what basis? Income level? Profession? I've signed up for these events in the past and I've got picked everytime. I signed up other coworkers too and they've gone too. Converted a few Audi fans already hehe. (I was an Audi fan before the comparison drive too).

Strangely enough, when the E90 was launched, a lot of the invited people were E46 folks. I was suprised I was invited for the test drive (Needless to say, I ended up with my E90...)

Signed up. Hopefully I get picked as I really wanna try that 335d. I got picked for the 1 test drive last time and was seriously considering the 135 afterwards eventhough I already had my e92.

It is for people who are considering purchasing a new vehicle and would like to experience a BMW vs. some of the common competition. I'm not sure how much I'm permitted to say about the event, so I will stop there.

I will say that I've heard through the grapevine that there is still plenty of space so definitely sign yourself up and any friends who may be looking to buy a car in the near future.

I don't have a when as to when they will select people (nor do I think I would be allowed to say if I did,) but the dates of the events are available on the site.
