Exclamation 335i service repair manual on DVD

Maybe everyone already knows about this... and I'm just late to the party... But I just grabbed this, i assume others might want it as well:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-3...ht_3559wt_1586

For $10 you can't go wrong! If anyone ever needs to see anything from it, I can take screenshots for you.

Did you get this yet, or are you still waiting for delivery? Is it a copy or the real disc?

Thanks for the heads up!

Have you already received/used the DVD? Is it legit? does it have the detail found in a Bentley?

"This program contains all the necessary instructions needed for any repair your vehicle may require from bumper to bumper. This is the same program the dealer technicians and mechanics use to diagnose and repair your vehicle. Whether it's routine maintenance, such as tune-ups and brake service, or more extensive repairs involving engine and transmission disassembly. This software provides the most reliable information to perform the job. Accurate, clear and concise text, combined with detailed illustrations, make it possible for anyone with even a bit of basic mechanical knowledge to safely and easily service and repair their vehicle.

Comprehensive diagrams, in depth illustrations, and all the manufacturers specifications and technical information you will need is included.

Not only is this a complete repair manual, but it also includes all the scheduled service information, tech service bulletins, recall information, and will cover all models listed below.

You will receive this tremendously informative user friendly manual on one interactive DVD-ROM."

That's the BMW TIS. There are copies of this circulating on bittorrent. Only covers to '07 I believe.

Not sure if it's ok to post torrent links here, but you can find 07/2006 TIS and 08/2007 ETK from there.

If jpsimon could verify which production date you have on your DVD it would be great and if it is newer you need to rip it and make a torrent out of it

I have that kind of a DVD. It is a TIS disk. For $10-15 it is useful, but there is no way you can use it to work on the car "bumper-to-bumper". There are useful things like venting procedure etc. when servicing the cooling system, for example. There are NO wiring diagrams whatsoever (at least I didn't see any).

I bought one of these off of Ebay for my Evo and it was EXTREMELY helpful.

I think I'll get this as well. Thanks for the heads up JPSIMON.

+1. It is not really that useful for working on your car. It's not like getting a repair manual like you see from Haynes or Chilton manual.

I'm just gearing up for a DIY fuel pump replacement if it ever comes to that (i'm still running strong, but just covering my bases). This will tell me the proper torque specs etc

I just looked quickly, and it does have instructions on replacing the HPFP with all the torque numbers. It also has pictures, but their quality is annoyingly low.

So who will make a DVD like this in the future then... Support the "vendor" and buy if you like it.

It reports as follows:

DVD 07/2006 version
"01 51 9 788 171 En (V1)"
The TIS version 3.4.2 of 18 Feb 2005.

I think it means data from 07/2006 and software is from 18 feb 2005.
