I would buy them. I painted mine myself before they came out with the black grills and there were plenty of paint chips.

Buy it. It is not like they are exorbitantly priced.

I bought a pair the matte black grilles from one of the vendors for $60, and had it painted glossy black to match my car for another $60. I did install them before I painted just to see how it would look, then I pulled them and had them painted and re-installed and I can say without doubt, I like them better painted black.

*Edit I have had them in for about 6 months now and the paint is holding up quiet well, no big chips or anything.

I did mine myself with matte black paint. After a year they do have some pitting and I'll probably respray them during my spring detail, but it only cost me $6. Obviously if you by them $60 isn't too expensive, but I just like doing projects myself. BUT..on the other hand I kind of wish I had bought some because then I would have my stock ones to put back on whenever I sell my car.
