where does battery acid go?
Hey guys, this isnt a question regarding my 325, but my volvo,
i need to replace the battery, but the the + terminal is caked in battery acid crystals. Ive read some DIYs online on how to clean it but they say just scrap the bulk of it off. the battery is in the engine compartment so if i scrape it off, do i just let it sit around to where ever it may end up? or is there a proper way to clean it :P thanx in advance! ...i hope this never happens to my 3er, battery acid in the trunk would suck ! |

Mix some baking soda and water together and pour it over the terminals and the area the battery is mounted. Then flush the area with water. The mix will neutralize any acid around the battery and what is on the terminals. You will also need a battery brush to clean off the terminals before you hook them up to your new battery.
