Has any 1 dont this cluster mod to a E9x?

In our e60 forum we have archived the cluster mod
we have taken out the old ugly looking orange led light and replaced it with white.
now we have the M5 and M3 look.

What I what to know is.
has any 1 mod this on the E9x.
How do I take the cluster apart, any DIY on this?
Is the cluster same as E60?
I am planing to do it to the 3er on a 335i and 2 323i

here are some photos of my e60 mod
and here is the link for the DIY for the e60

there are too many photos in the diy
if you can find a DIY e9x that would be great
I had a look in the DIY and nothing about taking apart the cluster

Even better, what if someone found out a way to switch from amber to white at the user's discretion, kinda like the Black Panel LCD technology in the 7er?
I think that would be really awesome, but I'd prefer amber over white for the dash because it's BMW's signature interior hue.
