Waterless wash

Can any one explain the waterless wash and if it is worth the money. Does is swirl the paint? Any info would be great.

known as optimum no rinse is awesome!

i was skeptical at first, and used it for the first time this weekend....

many high-end detailers use it...

This stuff is way better than just a sponge bath with water in the cold weather. I am hooked on it now.

ONR is so worth it. I've stopped washing my car with car wash now.

I use it many times instead of a traditional wash, it takes less times for me now. Also you can use ONR to make a quick detailing spray as well. Two uses for one product

ONR is not a "waterless" wash, but a no-rinse wash. You can do a whole car with about 3 gallons of water, and it works great. Seriously, it's amazing stuff. But is this not what the OP has in mind? I think there are some "waterless wash" products out there.

To add to zaxjax's note, ONR is an excellent clay lube, too.

so do you have to do some sort of pre-treatment... such as a wax or polish for this stuff to work effectively.

Or is it a direct replacement for a regular soap and water wash.

Also how much better is it then a premium wash wax soap. I don't really care about using more water.

very very true, you don't want to use a non diluted batch on your car. mostly for a weekly wash

my dad uses it on the $5k paintjob on his 78 Corvette, and it still shines like the day he brought it home from the paint shop 6 years ago

I probably wouldn't use it if I lived in your location. I'd much rather give it a good hand wash with a hose, but living somewhere that your hands turn into giant hams from the cold trying to keep your car looking good through these cold months, there really isn't a better product that I've found.

I use ONR as well. Good product! No swirls that I can see

However, if I lived in an area with road salt I would wash the car often in a car wash rather than use ONR to make sure the salt comes off the car. swirls are bad but rust is much worse

I use ONR and I love it. Believe the hype.

Here's an SL I washed with ONR. This car had no wax on it and its never been polished.

I typically go through a touchless car wash first to get all the heavy dirt and salt off and then use the ONR in my garage when I get home. Works great and it's a fast way to wash your car.
