Is Tire Rotation Worth It?

I have a set of Toyo Proxes on 19'' Volk Racing Wheels. They have been on for about 8K miles or so. The wear is even and tread looks good. My question is, is it worth the money and time to rotate the tires? Obviously they are a directional tire. With there being a slight difference in the front and rear wheels I would have to remove the tire from the wheel and re-mount. In additon, the car is corner-balanced so I would have to do that again. I don't track or race the car but drive pretty hard sometimes. The place I would have to take it to do the wokr is an hour away but if it is really going to prolong the tire life I can swing it.

of course there will be a difference ...rear will wear out alot faster
but are they stagger? If not, rotate them

Yep. I rotated the tires on my Accord and Evo every time I did an oil change. Pointless on the 335i since it's stagger.

Time and Money?

You can rotate your tires in under five minutes in your driveway

I'm guessing his wheels are staggered and he thinks he can just rotate the tires, not the rims.

Five minutes would be pretty impressive.

For RWD cars, generally yes, because of the stagger set up. But AWD and FWD cars usually have the same specs on all 4 corners.

Swapping left/ride side on a directional tire definitely increases tire life. But you would have to consider the cost and expense each time this is done.
