Turbo Lag Fix in SoCal
Has anyone gotten the "turbo lag fix" in the L.A/O.C./Ventura area? If so, what dealership did you go to and were you happy with the results? Thanks!

no dealer will "fix" the lag issue unless you have a verifiable complaint with the car

So no one in L.A has gotten this "v32.1 with the "lag-fix" option" update with a 335i HPFP replacement or anything like that? I've seen a number of postings on this topic from people in other places, but wanted to find out first hand if anyone had success in getting this here in L.A. Thanks!

Brought my car in today because the oil light came on. I also, told the guy who was servicing my car about updating my ecu to the latest version. He is required to ask you why you would want to re-flash it. All you have to do is ask, "nicely" and tell him its because of the obvious turbo lag that you have noticed. So, I would have to wait til tomorrow to get my car back since my car needs a lot of updates. Lets hope this update fixes the lag!!!

Finally!!! 3 days at the stealership. They had a bad time updating the modules for my car.Hahaha. The SA said every time they dl from the satellite, the files were corrupted and they would have to restart the process for the each modules. I don't know if they were lying or not, but I had like 18 modules to update for my car since the last flash with the oil change in August. The latest version they had at Crevier was Progman 31.2 and I don't know if that is the latest one on the market. Others have said they have the 32.1, but do we honestly believe what the stealership says these days?
Now for the test on the 55 fwy heading home. To be honest, there is still a slight lag, but all turbos have a little lag no matter if 2 small turbos compensate for the smooth transition. I can definitely, tell the engine had the aggressive feel again the the turbos were spooling harder than before. Overall, less turbo lag for the time being... |
