e90 Stereo upgrade paths
Having read through most of the posts for the last 12 months on this forum, it appears that I am looking at 2 possible upgrade paths for the standard 6 speaker system in my e90. Have I missed anything? My preference is the Blaupunkt route, but I am a little concerned about the lack of crossover separating the mids and tweeters. Is the filter in the L7 tweeter wiring sufficient and should I look at upgrading the mids as well?

Some people have had problems with their Blaupunkt amps and they don't have the greatest after sales service - it's the hassle factor.
If you buy the Alpine from BMW and especially if they fit it, the warranty is all with your dealer. |

My Blaupunkt went up in smoke the other day, but its only 6 months old so should be covered under warranty. I believe the Blaupunkt is more powerful than the alpine (guessing, havent bothered to check), but in reality I'd like something even more.
I have the earthquake subs in the seats and the L7 tweeters, but its still lacking for me (will be fine for most though, Im just picky)... trying to figure out what else I can do to add to it. Unfortunately, where the car is located right now (spain) there is nobody any good at audio installs... honestly, if there was, you would clean up here... |

I'm planning to install the Alpine hifi retrofit, but i'm not sure if doing this will add aditional power to the SWS subs that i also plan to install, from the pdf install instruction pictures i understand that there is some work with the wires near the front door/floor, but i don't know where are they going(to the subs or not). Please help me with this question.
Thank you in advance!
